Two days ago, I posted this wedding video that @aplusk mentioned on twitter. I thought it was a great way for these two young people to launch their married lives together, dancing up and down the aisle with great passion and enthusiasm. Yesterday while I was grabbing my shoes, briefcase, keys and anything else I needed to get out the door for work, I saw a few minutes of their appearance on the Today Show. And now this morning, plopped in my chair in the living room, they re-enacted the whole dance routine on the Today Show. I thought it might be kind of a silly segment, but I was wrong.
One member of the wedding party is now in a boot and on crutches. Ouch. Reminds me of the way I spent last summer after a fifth metatarsal fracture. I wonder if he did it practicing for his after-the-wedding publicity tour? I'll bet we will find out.
The bride, groom and entire wedding party seem to be really personable, down-to-earth people. I wonder where they live, what they do, and what kind of back stories they have. I'll bet we will find out.
Finally, there's this one guy who is Mr. Personality. He hasn't spoken a word on camera, but just watch him gyrate, doing handstands and creating his own version of that Matrix rooftop scene where the Wachowskis had Neo bending backwards at an incredible angle to dodge incoming bullets. This guy can do it! We'll be seeing more of these people who catapulted from normal life into the national spotlight all because of a short video they posted less than a week ago. I hope the crush and craziness of the situation doesn't change them and that they keep dancing through it all.
